Our LAVA countertops are made of volcanic lava extracted after the eruption of Mount Etna in 1600. The magma at a temperature of 1300°C solidified, creating characteristic black lava, which became the basis for further processing.
This is how mines were created from which lava blocks are extracted.
Each block is cut into gray boards and then subjected to special thermal processes. Depending on the techniques and temperature used, we obtain different finishes that have a unique texture and style.
The heat treatment of the lava stone slabs simulates volcanic conditions, resulting in various finishes depending on the temperatures and techniques applied.
This is how we obtain our surfaces.
THE COLOURS OF ETNA
Recycled glass and lava stone merge,
giving rise to an eco-sustainable gathering.
ECOLOGY
Coloring our surfaces respects ecology and modernity. Recycled materials – old monitors and picture tubes of old TV sets are ground and processed, thanks to this we create unique patterns and colors.
